Had my first meal at your establishment last night with my hubby, and it will definitely not be my last. I found the service to be impeccable, the food absolutely incredible, (spaghetti & meat sauce) and the restaurant itself is just lovely. We will probably become regulars. Thank you
We tried Pasqualino's for the first time on May 12/13 (today), which is Mother's Day and my birthday. My son announced this to our server, when she eventually got to our table (there were about 3 other tables with people) but she couldn't care less.
The ambiance is nice and the restaurant itself is very cozy. I was impressed the moment I walked in.
HOWEVER, I'm not sure if the server(s) were hired "Aunts" for the day, but they were AWFUL. We ordered 2 orders of garlic bread and a salad to start, then our main meals. It was about 30-40 minutes before we got ONE order of garlic bread (thrown down on the table, no reason why two weren't brought) and then nothing again for about another 30 minutes. When I asked a woman, who I believe was the owner's wife about the rest of our order, she brushed me off saying "we're getting to it" and walked away. Then our entrees (there were 4 of us) came. Actually, only mine and one of my son's came. My other son and husband didn't get anything. The owner came out while we were still waiting and I explained the lack of garlic bread, salad and two entrees.... he quickly whipped out the other two appetizers but by the time my husband got his actual dinner, we were already done ours. The server didn't once ask if we wanted drinks, anything, she just sauntered by like she didn't have a clue we were even there.
PLUS SIDE: The lasagna is FABULOUS, as are the fries and the veal parm. The wine prices for bottles are excellent and it's clean and warm inside.
NEGATIVE: Service was non-existent and unapologetic. The bolognese sauce on the pasta is bland.... and the spaghetti was overcooked. My salad came halfway through my dinner, slapped on the table with no apologies.
Overall, given that it was my first experience, I would be willing to try again, to see if it was simply because they were unprepared for Mother's Day rush. The food, for the most part, was quite good. But the service was non-existent. Even while we were eating, a young girl in track pants and a hoodie started serving people... just no effort at all.
I would try again because the prices were good and most of the food we had was pretty good.
My husband & I experienced the same "wonderful" service when we were there shortly after the restaurant opened. The food was good but, not worth the aggravation of watching the waitress flit around doing nothihg & ignoring us totally & we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant! We swore we'd never go back & we haven't.
Finally real authentic Italian Food!!! Tired of all the same places for the past 6 years moving up from Newmarket, our friends Biserka and Michael Clark referred us to Pasquale assuring me that his lasagna was the best in town.......I was a little apprehensive because I have tried other lasagnas in the area and they were not the best until I tried Paquale's lasagna. And yes he passed with flying colours, the best lasagna in Alcona!!!!! Good Luck Pasquale and crew, hoping 2013 will bring you lots of prosperity and new customers!
My husband and I couldn't wait for an Italian resturant to open in Alcona. Pasqualino's quality and quantity is amazing. We live in town and go twice a week. Between the two of us, we've tried everything on the menu and it has been incrediable.
thanks for the kind words and your patronage, we will continue to provide great food and hope to be here a long time thanks again and let us know who you are we would like to thank you in person see you soon
We were up in Innisfil last Saturday and enjoyed a leisurely dinner at Pasqualino's... We started with an antipasto appetizer. My wife had a generously portioned chicken parmesan dinner with salad and I had the fettuccini with meatballs (the home made pink sauce that was delicious). We shared a wrapped cheesecake with chocolate sauce for desert… and a superb espresso hit the spot. We will definitely be back soon.
We ate here Sunday evening and loved it. The food is homemade and very good. Try the Tiramisu, it's wonderful. Service is warm and attentive. Prices are reasonable. We will go back when we're in Alcona, for sure!
