I wanted a turntable for a few years and when it was time to pull the trigger, a good friend of mine recommended I go speak to Gord at All That Jazz. I'd never heard of this place before. I stopped in on my way home from Barrie one day and that was the beginning of a great ongoing music/shopping experience.
Gord offers some of the best unbiased, no pressure sales advice I’ve ever experienced. He's helped build an analogue system that I’ve been dreaming about for years. He's also introduced me to some great music that I’ve added to my small but ever growing Vinyl collection.
At 30 yrs of age I was just given my first turntable. With never listening to a record before, it is like I have discovered music for the first time. After a family member mentioning "All that Jazz" in heart of Cookstown where I had grew up in, this was exciting. I would like to take the time and say thank you for taking the amount of time you spent and being honest with no sale pressure, I wish there were more people like this. I will be returning as a repeat customer. Thank you very much to Gord.
Gord has a great selection of Lp's and CDs in many genres. His store in Cookstown is a great place to listen to complete systems in which each component is complimentary and the whole is more than the sum of its parts. Gord's years of experience in the industry and practical knowledge of hi-fi gear really shows when you speak with him. His knowledge of what sounds good is based on experimentation and hours and hours of real world listening. He has helped me improve my system greatly and set up my turntable with a new Ortofon cartridge that is a great match with my Rega arm. The PSB speakers I bought for my son sound great and are a great value. Highly Recommended.
For anyone considering a new stereo system, or component upgrades; we can highly recommend All That Jazz HiFi and Gord Crawford. His knowledge, patience, and creativity, helped to pull together a new system for our home, and we’re certain he can establish a brilliant system at any price range.
